When the sun retires to bed

And the moon stretches out

And nothing comes from us

They shut the main gate at us,

And boxed us into perdition

We cried, giggled and cried,

Cos our hands weren’t tied

Maybe our time hasn’t yet come

For we’ve walked many paths,

Yet the end is not friendly

But we still keep trying,

Until things are well cooked

But we still smile,

Coming out like a sparkling wine,

In God’s own time

We feel fine,

With no worries clotting our mind

Our eyes cleared

No dey mean say we be eye-red

For we are determined with our hands and legs

So trust in us, we are capable

Why should we feel discouraged?

Why should our hearts feel lonely?

When our hope dwells in the books so holy

Not weak men,
